CHECK OUT THIS AMAZING FEMALE COSPLAY OF PACIFIC RIM’S GIPSY DANGER!!!

Pacific Rim was released last July, and Jaeger costumes are starting to become more common. The giant mechs obviously take time to assemble, so I predict we’ll see more of them this convention season since people have had months to perfect the costumes. If they look half as good as Nona Neon Cosplay’s Gipsy Danger costume, we’re in for a treat.

She did an incredible job with crafting the armor and painting and aging it to match the film. It looks like she’s been fighting Kaiju for years. From the helmet to the chain sword she crafted from wood and foam – I’m impressed.

i was with a new friend yesterday and he was telling us how he worked on a maple syrup farm and then he kind of pulls me aside and was like “hey don’t tell anyone but i can get you some maple syrup at a nice discount price but technically it’s not legal but let’s keep that on the down low” and i think i just made friends with an illegal maple syrup dealer

I met my wife at a Star Trek convention. She was study abroad from France and spoke little English, and I didn’t know a lick of French. So, for the first few months of our relationship, we communicated by speaking Klingon.

Hear more tales of nerdery in this week’s Pwn Up! (via dorkly)

Okay I’m not even a Star Trek fan but that’s beautiful.

Surreal Photos of A Frozen Venice

Art director Robert Jahns has created a series of surrealistic photos of Venice by combining photos of Italy by Luis Manuel Osorio Fernando with photos of frozen lakes in Russia by Daniel Kordan. Robert Jahns wanted to show how the Venice Canal would look like if it was frozen by the winter.

He designed this special shoes, shared between him and his paralyzed daughter just to make her feel the sensation of walking.

WEEP DAFEELS PENETRATE ME

Oh my goodness

This is probably so good for her body, too! Imagine her muscles getting moved in ways they don’t normally and she is upright and hopefully not having any pressure spots! This is lovely in so many ways!

****ACTUALLY INVENTED BY THIS LADY!***
Still wonderful though!

which fucking fedora wearing friendzoned nerd made this thing

yeah but notice that the seal’s intent is to eat those fish and the shark offers a mutually beneficial relationship for them
in which a dudebro unintentionally makes a really accurate analogy for the reason that they’re single forever

That’s a whale shark. They’re docile and in no way threatening to people or those fish depicted. Seals, by contrast, will attack people, possibly out of a frustrated sense of entitlement combined with poor socialization skills.

Well that backfired spectacularly.
